Another important "L" in this formula, IMHO, is the often mentioned "Long Tail." For the most part, podcast audiences are niche audiences -- not the mass audience that advertisers have traditonally gone for (CPM!) To embrace podcasting as a marketing tool, there must be a shift on an advertiser's mind set.

Oh, I guess I was typing my post when you were posting. In that way, yes. Location is relevant.

I totally agree with this but just thought it was something that I just thought was happening but didn't have proof. I also have to agree with a previous comment that I don't think that Location has that much of an effect but I guess you'd know your audience better than we. I'm indifferent to your location and feel like you could show your show on a plane to anywhere and get some new viewers.

It's because you and Shane make good content.

Sorry that wasn't clear Rob.

By Location, I mean they watch/listen at the computer - the location is the computer - where they can immediately click on a link to learn more and/or buy. I did not mean Location in the typical geographic sense. I'm going to append the post to make that more clear.

I'm not sure about Location. I'd like to think that the audience is location agnostic and has a better recall than traditional media. I'm not sure that this fits into the "L" theme you've laid out, but I'm sure that the community is smarter than I am in that regard.

Anyway, I really you're onto something with this!
