Bruce and Bradly - thank you for your comments.

Bruce - I think soon we will actually be swapping out "narrowcasting" and "broadcasting".
At first regular TV was broadcasting as it had larger audiences, and podcasters were the narrowcasters, with smaller audiences. But if you look at geography, why podcasters can reach the entire world, cheaply and easily and in most cases it's free for viewers. That's potentially a lot "broader" than just having your TV shows shown in your local area or just your own country. He He.

Andy Bumatai shared his thoughts with our class yesterday (Session 4 of Getting Started on the Social Web): "Remember when television was introduced in the 50's? Well that's what is happening now."

Great article Rox. I have to agree with you and also with Bruce's comment. Now that anyone can have a show, people can build shows to a very fine niche and not have to worry so much about making people from ever walk of life happy; but just their target audience. I love the internet! ;-)

Thanx Rox, I agree and don't think you need a huge audience to make it work, I have always seen & used podcasting, vodcasting and blogging as narrow-casting not broadcasting also for google juice and credibility.
