@Damon - we really hope to take our meetings on the road this year and include all of the people on the neighbor islands. We also live stream each meeting - you can see the links in the left column of the www.smchawaii.org web site. We meet the second fri of each month, 5:30 - 7 pm. Maybe you could host a tweetup to watch together and we could possibly arrange a live video chat too?

Is there a quick and easy way to find Big Island residents that are really tied into social media?

It seems like Hawaii as a State is behind the mainland in social media.... for me, it feels like the Big Island is behind the rest of Hawaii in social media...

Please let me know of any social media clubs on the Big Island that you might hear of.

Part of are problem on the Big Island, is that we live often over 100-150 miles round trip just to attend meetings amongst us into social media.

I'd love to find some more online folks on this island that are into social media.

I created the "FBI Blogs" as a way to just connect Big Island Bloggers... and that has taken off in it's own way.

My problem is many people think they can just register and get a blog and become a FBI Blogger because they have a blog.

They don't realize that I do pick and choose the blogs that are on the site because of one reason or another.

I really look forward to working with folks on bridging the gaps on things. I myself am just learning tools myself.

If you know of anyone on the Big Island that is big on social media and looking to talk to others... please let me know.
