About Bare Feet Studios

We are Roxanne Darling and Shane Robinson, partners in life and in business at Bare Feet Studios. Shane started this company in 1996 in Santa Fe, as one of New Mexico’s first web companies. Roxanne joined him in 2001 adding training and strategy, all falling under the umbrella of Internet Literacy for Business. In 2002, we moved to Kailua, Oahu and helped lead Hawaii into the era of social media. In 2011, we move to Maui, as our artistic and expressive desires were coming to the foreground.

Our business, the internet, and our lives have all shifted enormously since 1996. This site covers primarily our internet business: we’ve focused on Social Media, Blogging, Podcasting, and Online Video via our strategic consulting, training programs, public speaking, and community outreach.

In recent years, Shane has been re-emerging as an artist – his work is now in the State of Hawaii permanent collection. His college degree is a Bachelor of Fine Art. You can learn more at his art site at ShaneRobinson.com. Roxanne has been re-emerging as a writer and coach – following her experience with Johnson & Johnson. She now uses some of the most modern techniques for helping people break old patterns. Learn more at InTheTransition.com. She also is tapping her decade of social media experience to create Mindful Coaching for Social Business.

As modern life evolves, we love adding to the mix of our abilities and interests, so much of which has been made possible by the internet! Bare Feet Studios continues to be our parent company, encompassing our diverse interests and skill sets. Please be sure to like our Facebook page.

Please Note! As geeky and professional as we like to be, this site was built on WordPress software back in 2004 – we were one of their earliest fans and continue to love WordPress. We have gone through countless software and theme upgrades. You will no doubt find some funky things if you go back in the archives! We don’t take the time to retrofit all the old stuff. If you find something and want to report it though, please do! Email us – the link is now at the top of every page.
